Athletic Performance

Reach your optimal sports performance level with chiropractic care.  Not only does chiropractic allow you to reach a higher level of performance but you will be less likely to get injured.

The three main benefits athletes can get from chiropractic care are preventing injury, managing injury, and enhancing physical performance.  Many athletes of all levels are sidelines with injuries that could be avoided.  Others sit out on the bench waiting for their injury to heal that may not be responding to ordinary treatment.  Some athletes are competing, but at a level below their true potential.

Chiropractors realize that pain killing drugs are not the answer. They merely cover up the symptoms, misleading the athlete into actions which could make the injury more serious.  In your cervical (neck) and lumbars (lower back) is where we have the most proprioceptive receptors.  These are balance receptors.  Proprioception is the knowledge of where all your joints (feet, ankles, knees, hands etc.) are in time and space.  Basically, it is the connection between your brain and your body.  The more fine tuned this connection is, the better one can perform athletically.  In most cases, it is that little bit of edge you need to beat out your opponent.  Chiropractic care insures you that the connection between the brain and the body is functioning at its highest level.

Professional athletes from Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Andy Roddick, Joe Montana and Terrell Owens use chiropractic as a key ingredient to their success.
