What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care is the gentle manipulation of the spine and other joints thorughout the body to help mobilize those joints. When joints are stiff or immobile, it can cause many problems such as pain, inflammation, tendonitis, etc. Chiropractic adjustments or manipulations will help restore normal joint movement thus allowing the joint to function properly and feel great.

The schooling for chiropractors is very intense. After attaining a pre-med degree, you then have 4-5 years of chiropractic college depending on if you go year round or not. Chiropractic college consists of anatomy, physiology, neurololgy, and bio-chemistry the first couple years. The latter part of chiropractic college, you will get more into x-ray and MRI training as well chiropractic technique courses.

Chiropractic care can help so many different conditions and diseases. The most common conditions I personally see here in Highlands Ranch are neck pain, headaches, sciatica, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraines, knee pain, shoulder pain, neuropathies, and tendinitis problems. We also see a lot of pain stemming from being pregnant or even post pregnancy pain.

Chiropractic care can usually solve an issue in as little as 6-8 visits. Our goal is to have you feeling much better in just a week or two. Other patients continue with regular wellness chiropractic visits to make sure they feel great for many years to come. It is up to each individual to decide what capacity they would like their chiropractic care to entail.
